How to connect wifi gateway with CRESTIN APP in auto scan mode

1.Turn on the smart phone’s blue tooth function and ensure the smart phone’s network is ON.

2.Before connecting, please make sure your smart phone is connecting with your home Wi-Fi 2.4GHz successfully.

3.Press and hold the button of the gateway for 5 seconds, then blue light of gateway is now rapodly flashing.

4.Open the Crestin application into the home page, click ”+” to select “Auto Scan Mode”, and then start to automatically scan gateway. Scan to the gateway and click Next, then enter the WiFi password and conform it.

5.the Once connect the App will prompt the connection,then click “Done”.

6.Now you can control the gateway through CRESTIN App.

How to add a bluetooth device using the gateway function

Method：First add a Bluetooth device with a mobile phone and bind it to the gateway (recommended, efficient).

The following steps will be added using a Smart Lock as an example.

1.Turn on the Bluetooth function of the mobile phone (required).

2.Set the Smart Lock enter the state of waiting for network distribution. (If your phone has already added this Lock, please skip this step).

3.Discover and add lock. (If your phone has already added this Smart Lock, please skip this step).

4.Enter the gateway interface and choose to add lock.

What should I do when device configuration process has failed?

You could:

Check whether the wifigate is powered on or not.

Check whether your mobile device is connected to 2.4g wifi.

Check your network connectivity. Make sure the router is working properly:

If the router is dual-band router, please select 2.4G network and then add gateway.

NOTICE: Only Supports 2.4Ghz WiFi, so if your WiFI is not 5Ghz, you need to adjust it to 2.4Ghz.

HOW TO ADJUST THE WIFI?

Log in to your router’s administration backend on your computer or cell phone and change the network frequency to 2.4Ghz via SSID.

If your router supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, but only one Wi-Fi name is displayed on your cell phone’s Wi-Fi search page, please perform the following steps.

1. Go to the router’s wireless page. (The entrance address is usually provided on the label on the back of the router).

2. Go to the 2.4GHz settings page and set the Wi-Fi name (SSID) to XXX-2.4G, where xxx indicates the Wi-Fi name. Save the settings.

3. Go to the 5GHz settings page and set the Wi-Fi name (SSID) to XXX-5G, where xxx indicates the Wi-Fi name. Save the settings.

4. When the previous settings are finished, the new Wi-Fi name will appear on the Wi-Fi settings page of your phone.

Note: After changing the Wi-Fi name, you need to reconnect the device that uses this wireless router. If the password has not been changed, it will remain the same.

Finally, open the Smart Life App, reset your device, and add your smart products.
